Landform:
The landform region of Charlottetown is Appalachian. Appalachian are worn down mountains that were created jurying the early Paleozoic era. The landforms that can be found are forestry, large abundance of plants, harbor, flat plains, white sand beaches, and rolling hills. The bodies of water that can be found near the city is the Northumberland Strait, this river runs into the Atlantic Ocean. The pros of the landscape are that the flat plains make it easier for the construction in the city. Also rich red soils are found near the coast line, this makes it an ideal place for farming. The cons are that the flat plains prevent some recreational activities (snowboarding, skiing, etc.) and because of the large amount of forestry, it is harder to clear space for new development.
Climate graph:
Charlottetown has all of the four seasons throughout the year. On the graph it shows that the temperature range is 26.5 degree Celsius, the growing season is from the month of May to October, the total precipitation is 883.3 millimeters, and it is a cool maritime climate. The main factors that affect the city is nearness to water, because of this there are warm summers because cool air masses blow towards the city from the Northumberland Strait and long mild winters. This also makes the cities precipitation level higher. Because of the moist climate, many plants and crops grow in this region, but if it rains too much, the crops and plants could flood.
